The Gmina Pokój is a rural community in the Powiat Namysłowski of the Opole Voivodeship in Poland . Their seat is the village of the same name ( German Carlsruhe O / S , Silesian Coarlsruhe , Schlonsakisch Pokůj ) with about 1400 inhabitants.
geography
The municipality is located roughly in the middle of the voivodeship. Their capital Opole (Oppeln) is about 25 kilometers south. The district town of Namysłów (Namslau) is 20 kilometers to the northwest. The voivodship road DW454 runs through the main town .
The municipality is located in the Stobrawski Park Krajobrazowy Protected Landscape Area .
history
The rural community came to the Opole Voivodeship in 1950, the layout of which has changed several times. She has been a member of the Powiat Namysłowski since 1999.
(Bad) Carlsruhe was a popular spa in Silesia from 1850 to 1945.
