The Zielspitze (also Zielspitz ) is a 3006  m slm (according to other information also 3009  m ) high mountain in the Texel group of the Ötztal Alps .

location

The target point is northwest of Merano in South Tyrol ( Italy ). The mountain is part of the Texel Group Nature Park . On the south side it towers over the steep slopes of the Sonnenberg above the valley floor of the Vinschgau valley, which is more than 2,400 meters lower, with the villages of Naturns and Rabland . In the east, the mountain structure falls into the target valley .

ways

The normal ascent begins at the mountain station of the Texelbahn ( 1544  m ), or at the Gigglberg guesthouse next to it, first following the path to the Ohrnknott . The summit ridge is exposed and requires alpine experience. You can reach the summit in around four hours.
