The Zimmermühle, also called Götzmühle , is a district of the town of Helmbrechts in the Upper Franconian district of Hof .
geography
The hamlet is located 2.5 kilometers southeast of the historic center of Helmbrechts in the Selbitz valley . In terms of nature, it is located on the Münchberg plateau . To the north, the terrain rises to heights of over 700 m above sea level. NN towards the Franconian Forest , to the south-east a ridge of the Fichtelgebirge stretches over 850 m.
history
The mill first appeared in a document in the Reich tax register from 1497.
Only the three-bay bridge made of gneiss stones over the Selbitz , built in 1734, is preserved as a monument .
The Bavarian original cadastre shows the Zimmermühle in the 1810s as a wasteland with an approximately 2300 m² mill pond southeast of the then still freely meandering Selbitz. Since the Bavarian municipal edict, the Zimmermühle was a district of Meierhof (today the municipality of Münchberg ).
As part of the regional reform in Bavaria , the Zimmermühle was slammed on May 1, 1978, the city of Helmbrechts.
