Zozibini Tunzi (born September 18, 1993 in Tsolo , Transkei (now Eastern Cape )) is a South African beauty queen . After the Miss South Africa 2019 election , she was crowned Miss Universe in the same year . Tunzi, who graduated from Cape Peninsula University of Technology with a bachelor's degree in 2018 , also works as a model.

life and career

Zozibini Tunzi was born as the daughter of Philiswa Nadapu and Lungisa Tunzi in the city of Tsolo in what was then Transkei (incorporated into the South African province of Eastern Cape since April 1994) and grew up as one of three sisters in the village of Sidwadweni a few kilometers to the east .
