Zsófia Tóth
Zsófia Tóth (born December 25, 1989 in Tatabánya ) is a former Hungarian duathlete and triathlete . She is Junior Duathlon World Champion (2007), multiple Hungarian State Champion in various categories and elite Vice State Champion 2011.
Career
Tóth attended the Váci Mihály Általános Iskola and the secondary school Bárdos László Gimnázium in Tatabánya , which she graduated in 2009. Since 2003 Tóth has been sponsored by the Hungarian Hercules program and also by the Hungarian MOL group and its Új Europa Alapítvány foundation . In 2005 she became the junior triathlon European champion in the team for Hungary.
Junior Duathlon World Champion 2007
In May 2007 she became Junior Duathlon World Champion. Until 2008, Zsófia Tóth joined the ORTRI association from Oroszlány , a neighboring town of Tata , where she was born.
In 2009 she was accepted by the multiple Ironman winner Péter Kropkó in his small elite club Kropkó Triatlon Club . In 2009 Tóth moved to Vienna, where she initially lived in Aspern and studied sports science.
In 2010 Tóth moved to the TVK Mali Triatlon Club from Tiszaújváros and her coach was Licskó Csaba . In 2011, Tóth also took part in the French club championship series Lyonnaise des Eaux . At the grand finale in La Baule (September 17, 2011) she was 26th in the individual ranking and was the second best of her club TOCC (Tri Olympique Club Cessonais), which came in seventh (out of eleven). She was number two in the Hungarian rankings in 2011 and a member of the Hungarian national team. Since 2011 Zsófia Tóth has not appeared in international competitions.
Tóth has been studying geography at the University of Vienna since 2014 and lives there.
