Two like us ... and the parents don't know anything is a German feature film from 1966 about a young happiness struggling with all kinds of obstacles, played by Susanne Beck and Thomas Piper .
action
Trixi Felten is a very young woman who grew up in a sheltered and wealthy, albeit strict, family home. One day she leaves to look for her boyfriend in Hamburg. In St. Pauli she meets the day thief and bon vivant Hardy, who is so very different from her: independent, free and unconventional in every way. She follows him into his attic, he joins her, and Trixi and Hardy fall in love without the two of them having to state it explicitly .
But there is still the friend, and Trixi now has to clarify her relationship with him. Finally she finds him again, and he suspects that Trixi has long been drawn to the new one. He lets Trixi go. Only now can Trixi and Hardy find each other, but the adult world obviously has something against it and is now starting to cause difficulties for both of them. Trixi's parents are not prepared to accept the newcomer, the “bum” and “thief” as he is seen as a future son-in-law.
