Twice Rome and Back is an American television comedy from 1989.

From Philadelphia Dating cop Detective Elizabeth Donaldson, called Liz, is tired of having to listen to constant jokes about police officers, they why in her holiday in Italy a new identity At length, and from then on is a successful businesswoman. Dr. Harry MacRae, also wants to spend his vacation in Rome. He is a wealthy and respected cardiologist who wants to finally fall in love. And since he wants to make sure that no woman is after his money, he pretends to be a small hospital employee. Both meet on the plane, get to know each other and spend their time together in Rome. When they have to go back to the USA, however, complications arise as they have to keep up their little lies in order not to disappoint their counterparts. Although they have sworn their love for each other and assured that class differences do not matter, their relationship with one another will be put to the test after they find out who they really are.
