The 336th Air Refueling Squadron (336 ARS) is part of the 452d Air Mobility Wing at March Joint Air Reserve Base, California. It operates the KC-135 Stratotanker aircraft conducting aerial refueling missions.

Mission

History

The squadron conducted operational training from, February-March 1943 and replacement training from, April 1943-March 1944. It transported U.S. Army troops and cargo, provided aerial resupply, and dropped paratroopers within the U.S. from, May 1951-January 1953 and performed similar duties worldwide from, April 1953-June 1976. The 336th has performed aerial refueling worldwide since 1977. [1]
