Jodie Lee Ann Sweetin (born January 19, 1982) is an American actress known for her role as Stephanie Tanner on the television sitcom Full House.

Career

Born in Los Angeles, California, Sweetin first stepped into show business by appearing in film and television. She first appeared in an Oscar Mayer hot dog commercial when she was four years old. Her debut role was in Valerie in 1987, in which she played Pamela, the niece of Mrs. Poole. She also provided the voice of Sally Brown in It's Christmastime Again, Charlie Brown. Jeff Franklin cast her as Stephanie Tanner in Full House in 1987, and she was on the show until its end in 1995. After the show's finale, Sweetin went to high school and then attended college at Chapman University in Orange, CA. Sweetin hosted the second season of the Fuse TV show Pants-Off Dance-Off. She is now starring in a TV pilot, titled Small Bits of Happiness, a dark comedy centered around a suicide prevention specialist, which won Best Comedy at the 3rd Annual Independent Television Festival in Los Angeles.

Sweetin's catch phrases on Full House as Stephanie were "How rude!", "Hot dog," and "Well, pin a rose on your nose." Throughout the years, she has stayed in touch with most of the cast: Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who played her younger sister Michelle on the show, as well as Candace Cameron Bure (elder sister D.J.), Bob Saget (Danny), John Stamos (Jesse), Dave Coulier (Joey), Lori Loughlin (Becky) and Andrea Barber (Kimmy). She "grew up" on Full House and filmed 8 seasons. She started when she was 5 and lasted till she was 13.

Jodie was also seen as part of the audience that attended Comedy Central's The Roast of Bob Saget which aired on August 17, 2008. At her table were her husband Cody and close friends Dave Coulier and Lori Loughlin. The roast was hosted by John Stamos. To Full House fanatics, this was seen as a mini-reunion, as this is the first time in years that they are seen together on screen (Candace Cameron, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen weren't able to attend).

Sweetin is currently filming a movie entitled Port City, which is to be released sometime in 2009. Jodie and her husband Cody have also been approached by several television networks about doing a reality series.

Personal life

She married Shaun Holguin Houston, a Los Angeles police officer, when she was 20 years old. Fellow Full House castmate Candace Cameron attended Sweetin's bridal party and served as her matron of honor, with Cameron's daughter Natasha serving as a flower girl.[citation needed]. They divorced in 2006.[1]

In a February 2006 Interview with ABC News, Sweetin admitted to years of drug addiction culiminating in the regular use of methamphetamine.[2]

On July 14, 2007, Sweetin married Cody Herpin in Las Vegas. Earlier that year, Sweetin underwent breast implant surgery, increasing her cup size from A to D.[3]
