St. Mary's University is a private institution located in San Antonio, Texas and a Catholic university of the Marianist Order (Society of Mary). It was founded in 1852 and is the oldest university in San Antonio.
In April of 2000, Dr. Charles Cotrell was chosen as the first president of the university to not be a member of the clergy.
