The following is a list of episodes from the ABC television series, Desperate Housewives.

The total number of episodes per season is 23. Each season comes with an extra special recap episode. The second season had a two-hour season finale, being longer than season 1 by one hour. Season one began airing on October 3, 2004 and featured a total of 23 episodes and one clip show. The shows opens with the mysterious suicide of housewife Mary Alice Young on a beautiful day in the suburbs. Mary Alice, who narrates the show from the afterlife, has four friends: Bree, the seemingly perfect mother of two teenagers struggling to save her marriage; Lynette, the mother of four who's husband is always away on business; Susan, the divorced mom in search of love finds love in the form of her neighbor Mike, who's got a secret of his own; and Gabrielle, the materialistic ex-runway model who cheats on her husband. While trying to be good wives and mothers, the four friends try find out why their friend commited suicide after they dicover a blackmail note among her belongings.

Season two began airing September 25, 2005. After discovering their friend's dark secret, the housewives move on with their lives. Bree, who's husband just passed away, is not coping well with being a widow and is unkowingly dating a man who poisoned her husband to be with her. Susan, still searching for love, after breaking up with Mike, ends up in bed with her ex-husband who is now dating her nemesis, Edie. Lynette goes back to her career in advertising, as her husband Tom becomes a stay-at-home dad. And now pregnant Gabrielle, decides to be faithful to her husband who is now in jail, and as she starts accepting her upcoming motherhood, she has a miscarriage. And as the four housewives deal with their private lives, they can't help but notice there's something strange about the new neighbors who just moved in, and there is...they're keeping a prisoner in their basement!

	The series begins with the suicide of Mary Alice Young, who narrates the episodes from beyond the grave. The story unravels through her four friends: Lynette, Susan, Gabrielle and Bree and her neighbors. The show also follows the mystery of why Mary Alice took her own life and precisely who Mike Delfino really is. In many episodes, the "surviving" housewives (Mary Alice was one of the group before her suicide) meet and discuss over either coffee or poker the events of the current storyline.

Andrew talks to a priest about his attracting toward other males and tells him of his shocking plans for his mother, Bree.
