(11908) Nicaragua is an asteroid of the main outer belt discovered on April 4, 1992 by the Belgian astronomer Eric Walter Elst at the La Silla Observatory of the European Southern Observatory in Chile ( IAU code 809).
The asteroid was named after the Central American state of Nicaragua on March 5, 2015 .
