(2192) Pyatigoriya ( 1972 HP ; 1971 DY 1 ; 1974 VY 1 ; 1977 EJ 1 ; 1979 SL ) is an asteroid of the outer main belt that was discovered on April 18, 1972 by the Soviet astronomer Tamara Mikhailovna Smirnova at the Crimean Observatory in Nautschnyj ( IAU code 095) was discovered.
designation
(2192) Pyatigoriya was named after the Russian city of Pyatigorsk in the Stavropol region in the North Caucasus federal district on the occasion of its 200th anniversary.
