(241136) Sandstede is an asteroid of the main belt . It was discovered on August 25, 2007 by Rainer Kling and Stefan Karge at the Hans-Ludwig-Neumann-Observatory in Taunus and initially had the provisional designation 2007 QY 11 .
In June 2015 the asteroid was given the number 241136 and on June 2, 2015, at the suggestion of the discoverers, it was named Sandstede, after Gerd Sandstede . He was president from 1991 to 2007 and honorary president since 2007 of the Physikalischer Verein and played a decisive role in the establishment of the Hans-Ludwig-Neumann-Observatory.
