(2438) Oleshko ( 1975 VO 2 ; 1937 GE ; 1954 LG ; 1954 MA ; 1974 JB ; 1977 EM ) is an approximately seven-kilometer asteroid of the inner main belt , which was discovered on November 2, 1975 by the Russian (then: Soviet Union ) astronomer Tamara Mikhailovna Smirnova was discovered at the Crimean Observatory (Nautschnyj branch) on the Crimean peninsula ( IAU code 095).
designation
(2438) Oleshko was named after Valentina Iossifowna Oleschko (1924–1943) who founded a resistance group in Lampowo near Saint Petersburg (then: Leningrad ).
