(255019) Fleurmaxwell is an asteroid of the main outer belt discovered by the English - Luxembourg astronomer and musician Matt Dawson on October 10, 2005 at the French Observatoire des Côtes de Meuse ( IAU code 216). The observatory is located in Viéville-sous-les-Côtes , in the municipality of Vigneulles-lès-Hattonchâtel , not far from the Luxembourg border.
The asteroid belongs to the Themis family, a group of asteroids named after (24) Themis . The timeless (non- osculating ) orbital elements of (255019) Fleurmaxwell are almost identical to those of four other asteroids: (9562) Memling , (114761) 2003 HN 47 , (250812) 2005 UA 54 and 2015 BQ 437 .
(255019) Fleurmaxwell was named on July 15, 2011 after the Luxembourg figure skater Fleur Maxwell , the only Luxembourg participant in the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin .
