(4843) Mégantic is an asteroid of the main belt , the February 28, 1990 by the Belgian astronomer Henri DEBEHOGNE at La Silla Observatory of the European Southern Observatory ( IAU code 809) in Chile was discovered.
The celestial body was named after the Observatoire du Mont Mégantic on Mont Mégantic in the Canadian province of Québec .
