(5343) Ryzhov is an asteroid of the main belt , which was discovered on September 23, 1977 by the Russian astronomer Nikolai Stepanowitsch Tschernych at the Crimean Observatory in Nautschnyj .
It was named on August 18, 1997 after the Russian scientist and diplomat Yuri Alexejewitsch Ryschow .
