(6007) Bill Evans is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 28 January 1990 by the Japanese astronomer Seiji Ueda and Hiroshi Kaneda at the Observatory Kushiro ( IAU code 399) in the sub-prefecture Kushiro on the Japanese island of Hokkaido was discovered.

The asteroid was named on December 15, 2005 after the American jazz pianist and composer Bill Evans (1929–1980), who was one of the most influential personalities in modern jazz and style-forming for an entire generation of musicians.
