(6887) Hasuo is an asteroid of the main inner belt discovered on November 24, 1951 by the French astronomer Marguerite Laugier at the Observatoire de Nice ( IAU code 020) in Nice .
The asteroid was named on January 7, 2004 after the Japanese amateur astronomer Ruichi Hasuo , who calculated comet orbits in the 1970s.
