(7096) Napier is an asteroid crossing Mars or the main belt . It was discovered on November 3, 1992 by the British - Australian astronomer Robert McNaught at the Siding Spring Observatory ( observatory code 413) in Australia.
The asteroid is named after the Scottish astronomer and asteroid researcher Bill Napier (* 1940).
