Ângelo Domingos Salvador OFMCap (born July 17, 1932 in Segredo ) is a Roman Catholic religious and former bishop of Uruguaiana .

Life

Ângelo Domingos Salvador joined the order of the Capuchins and was ordained a priest on March 22, 1958 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him on March 16, 1981 auxiliary bishop in São Salvador da Bahia and titular bishop of Selja . The Archbishop of São Salvador da Bahia, Avelar Cardinal Brandão Vilela , donated him episcopal ordination on June 14 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Henrique Gelain , Bishop of Vacaria , and Cardinal Alfredo Vicente Scherer , Archbishop of Porto Alegre .

On May 16, 1986, he was appointed prelate of Coxim . On July 17, 1991 Pope John Paul II appointed him first bishop of the diocese of Cachoeira do Sul, which was established on the same date . As of May 26, 1999 he was appointed Bishop of Uruguaiana . On June 27, 2007, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related resignation.
