The Vall Örjans is a pure football stadium in the Swedish town of Halmstad .
The stadium was built in 1922 and today has a capacity of 15,500 seats. During the Football World Cup in 1958 , Örjans vall hosted two group 1 preliminary round matches.
In addition, the stadium was and is the home of the Swedish second division soccer team Halmstads BK and IS Halmia (women: 3rd division / men: 5th division). In addition to being used as a football stadium, the arena is also used as an event location, for example for concerts. One such event also led to an all-time audience record when in 2004 , 21,161 people visited the stadium at a Gyllene Tider concert .
The records at soccer games were:
- 1955: Halmstads BK - Djurgårdens IF with 19,783 spectators
- 1962: IS Halmia - Landskrona BoIS (qualification game) with 20,381 spectators
In 2013, Örjans vall was one of seven venues for the 2013 European Women's Football Championship . There were three preliminary round matches and a quarter-finals in Halmstad.
