The beach Vallen is a football stadium in the Swedish town of Hällevik . The facility is the venue for Mjällby AIF's home games .

history

The Strandvallen Stadium, located near the Baltic Sea , was built in the early 1950s and opened in 1953. After Mjällby AIF first appeared in the Allsvenskan in the 1980 season, the audience record was set up on the first day of the duel with Kalmar FF with 8,438 spectators. In the 1983 and 1985 seasons, the team also played first class in the stadium.

In 2002 the stadium was rebuilt and now offers space for 7,500 spectators. The main and opposite stands in the east and west of the stadium have since been covered. The main stand has beige and yellow seat shells in the club colors of Mjälly AIF, while the opposite side is flatter as a standing stand. The stands on the short sides of the pitch offer uncovered standing room. There are other sports fields near the stadium.

After Mjällby AIF was prematurely promoted to the Allsvenskan in autumn 2009, considerations began as to the extent to which the stadium would have to be converted into a first division stadium in accordance with the requirements of Svenska Fotbollförbundet . In addition to short-term adjustments, the association plans to carry out renovation work by 2014.
