Ötegen Batyr ( Kazakh Өтеген батыр , Russian Отеген батыр Otegen Batyr ) is a place in Almaty region in Kazakhstan .

geography

Ötegen batyr is located in southern Kazakhstan in the Almaty region and is the administrative center of Audany Ile . The place is a good three kilometers north of Almaty .

history

The place was founded in 1962 with the opening of a train station on the Turkestan-Siberian Railway . He was first called Energetitscheski (Энергетический). On December 24, 1999, the place was named after Ötegen Batyr , a Kazakh warrior in the 18th century.

Economy and Infrastructure

The Schety-Su station is located in Ötegen batyr on the Turkestan-Siberian Railway, which is mainly used for freight traffic. The Almaty TEZ-3 power plant is located in Ötegen batyr. The combined heat and power plant is operated by Almaty elektr stanzijassy and has an output of 173 MW. Construction of the power plant began in 1959, went into operation in 1962, and full output was achieved three years later. The tobacco company Philip Morris International has a production line in town.
