Đoàn Văn Hậu (born April 19, 1999 in Thái Bình ) is a Vietnamese football player who has been under contract with the Vietnamese first division club Hà Nội T&T since 2017 . After going through several Vietnamese junior teams, he has also been part of the senior team since 2017 .
Career

Đoàn started his career at Hà Nội T&T . In June 2017 he made his debut for the pros from Hà N Profi in V.League 1 when he came on as a substitute for Nguyễn Quang Hải on match day 14 of the 2017 season against Hải Phòng FC in stoppage time . In October 2017, he scored his first goal in the Vietnamese top division in a 4-0 win against XSKT Cần Thơ . In his first season with the first team, he came to eleven missions in which he scored a goal.
In the 2018 season, Đoàn played 20 games in V.League 1 and scored five goals. With Hà Nội he was champion that season.
In September 2019 he moved to the Netherlands on loan, where he joined SC Heerenveen . The club from Heerenveen played in the highest league in the country, the Eredivisie . The loan contract ends in mid-2020.
National team
Đoàn took in 2016 with the Vietnam U-20 team at the Asian Championships in Bahrain in part, he at his team in the semifinals of Japan failed. He came to four missions during the tournament in which he scored one hit. By reaching the semi-finals, the team qualified for the 2017 U-20 World Cup in South Korea , where they were the last in Group E to be eliminated in the preliminary round. Đoàn was used in all three games of Vietnam.
In June 2017 he stood against Jordan for the first time in the squad of the senior team . He made his national team debut in September 2017, when he started qualifying for the Asian Cup against Cambodia .
With the U-23 selection , he took part in the Asian Cup in China in 2018 , where he and his team failed in the final against Uzbekistan . Đoàn came during the tournament to three inserts during the group stage, after which he was no longer used. In the same year he took part with the U-23 team in the soccer tournament of the Asian Games , which they finished fourth. Đoàn played five games at the Asian Games.
The Southeast Asian Championship took place from November to December 2018 , in which Doan made seven appearances and Vietnam won the title. Subsequently, he was part of the senior team at the Asian Cup in the United Arab Emirates , where they were eliminated in the quarter-finals against Japan . He was used in all five games of the Vietnamese.
