Szukała was born in Gdansk and moved with his family to the Trier area in his early childhood .

Career

society

In his youth, Szukała first played for Fortuna Saarburg (1994-97), the DJK Trassem (1997-98) and from 1998 for Eintracht Trier . In 2000 he went to the youth department of the Lorraine first division club FC Metz . He also began his senior career there. From 2002 to the summer of 2004 he was also in the squad of the second team ( FC Metz B ).

For the 2004/05 season he signed a contract with TSV 1860 Munich and has had a reputation as a robust defender ever since. At that time Szukała played five games for the Polish U-21 national team . In the first half of 2006/07 he was in a sporting crisis, also because of injuries. Towards the end of the season he fought his way back to the professional squad, so that he had come to nine missions at the end of the season. After his contract with TSV 1860 Munich expired, he moved to Alemannia Aachen for the 2008/09 season and played there for two years.

For the 2010/11 season he moved to Gloria Bistrița in Romania , where his former Aachen teammate Laurențiu Reghecampf was coach. However, the club did not get a license for the next season, which is why Szukała signed a contract with the first division club Universitatea Cluj in the summer of 2011 . After he had also become a regular there, he moved a year later to league rivals Petrolul Ploieşti . After just under a month, Szukała left the club in mid-August 2012 and switched to league rivals and record champions Steaua Bucharest . On September 20, 2012 Szukała came to his first appearance in the European Cup when he was in the starting line-up in the 2-2 in the Europa League group game against VfB Stuttgart . With the team he was first in the group before Stuttgart, eliminating Ajax Amsterdam in the round of 32 , before narrowly failing in the round of 16 against eventual winners Chelsea . In the entire 2012/13 season Szukała came to 20 appearances in the league and scored four goals. In the end he won the championship with the team by 16 points. On July 10, 2013 Szukała scored a goal in the 3-0 victory in the Romanian Supercup .

Szukała played for Ittihad FC in Saudi Arabia from January to August 2015 . For the 2015/2016 season he signed a 3-year contract with the Turkish Süper Lig promoted Osmanlıspor FK from Ankara . In the summer of 2017 he was handed over to the second division club MKE Ankaragücü . At the end of the season Szukała rose with the club in the Süper Lig .

His contract in Turkey was terminated in January 2019 and the defender has been without a club since then.

National team

At the end of July 2013 he was nominated by the Polish national coach Waldemar Fornalik for a friendly match between the Polish national soccer team and Denmark on August 14, 2013.

He played his first international match against Denmark on August 14, 2013 . Poland won the game 3-2.

He played his first competitive game for Poland on September 6, 2013, when they played 1-1 in the World Cup qualifier against Montenegro .
