Žikica Milosavljević ( Serbian - Cyrillic Жикица Милосављевић ; born January 14, 1972 in Pančevo , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian handball player who is mostly used in the right wing position.

Career

society

The 1.78 m tall and 80 kg heavy Milosavljević began playing handball in his hometown at Dinamo Pančevo, where he also made his debut in the first division. In 1993 he moved to the Macedonian club RK Sevro Kumanovo for one season before he went to RK Red Star Belgrade . With Belgrade he reached the semi-finals of the 1995/96 European Cup Winners' Cup , won the Yugoslav Cup in 1998 and the championship in 1995 and 1999. He then moved to Slovenia, only for two years at Prule 67 Ljubljana , where he again made the semi-finals in 1999/2000 European Cup Winners' Cup, then to record champions RK Celje . With Celje he won the championship in 2003 and the triple of championship, cup and EHF Champions League in 2004 . He then joined the Spanish club CB Cantabria Santander , where he was second in the league's list of goalscorers in 2005/06 with 206 goals . After relegation in 2007, he went to BM Valladolid . With Valladolid he won the EHF European Cup Winners' Cup in 2008/09 . In 2010 he signed with the Bosnian-Herzegovinian club RK Bosna Sarajevo , but left the club in January 2011. Milosavljević has been playing for Metaloplastika Šabac since 2013 , with whom he reached the final against IK Sävehof from Sweden in the 2013/14 EHF Challenge Cup .

National team

Žikica Milosavljević played a total of 160 international matches for the national team of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and their successors Serbia and Montenegro and Serbia . He won the bronze medal at the 1996 European Championships and the 1999 and 2001 World Championships . In addition, he was voted the best right winger in the All-Star team in 2001. At the Olympic Games in 2000 he was fourth with the team from Serbia and Montenegro. In the play-offs for the 2011 World Cup , he played his last international match.
