Ɩ

Ɩ (lower case ɩ) is a letter in the Latin writing system . It is based on the Greek letter Iota and can easily be confused with both it and the Latin capital letter I. The letter was previously included in the international phonetic alphabet and stood for the unrounded centralized almost closed front tongue vowel , but was abolished in 1989 and replaced by the letter ɪ. However, it is still used in some African languages ​​such as B. Kabiyé and Mòoré used and is still included in the Africa alphabet .
