(10149) Cavagna is an asteroid of the main belt discovered on August 3, 1994 by the Italian astronomers Andrea Boattini and Maura Tombelli at the Osservatorio Astronomico della Montagna Pistoiese ( IAU code 104) near San Marcello Pistoiese .
The asteroid was named on July 28, 1999 after the Italian amateur astronomer Marco Cavagna (1958-2005), who was a member of the Gruppo Astrofili Brianza in founding the Osservatorio Astronomico Sormano in Sormano .
