(197196) Jamestaylor is an asteroid of the main outer belt that was discovered on November 15, 2003 by the American amateur astronomer David Healy at the Junk Bond Observatory in Sierra Vista , Arizona ( IAU code 701), which he founded.
The asteroid was named on June 7, 2009 after James Taylor (* 1965), who is responsible for public relations at the Huachuca Astronomy Club in Sierra Vista.
