(2430) Bruce Helin ( 1977 VC ; 1976 JU 1 ; A908 WC ) is an approximately twelve kilometer large asteroid of the main inner belt that was discovered on November 8, 1977 by the American astronomers Eleanor Helin and Eugene Shoemaker at the Palomar Observatory on Palomar Mountain was discovered about 80 kilometers northeast of San Diego ( IAU code 675).
