Lonnie drives a dragster ; Formula-free racing cars that accelerate up to 400 km / h. His girlfriend urges him to quit the risky job. In addition, the racing team boss Adamson obviously wants to disgust him from the team. In an argument, Lonnie goes after Adamson and Adamson fires him. Lonnie, however, does not want to give in. That is why he takes part as an advertising medium in a funny car race in which younger young drivers try to distinguish themselves. A serious accident occurs in the race. In the end, Adamson dies in a car chase in an airplane accident.
