The 29 Unterseebootsflottille short 29th U-boat Flotilla was an association of the German Navy of World War II and was among the Frontflottillen the submarine weapon. She was one of 33 flotillas deployed during the war.

history

The commissioning of the flotilla took place in La Spezia in December 1941 . The main base was located there until August 1943 and from then until the dissolution in September 1944 in Toulon . At the end of May 1942, the 23rd Mediterranean submarine was disbanded and the remaining 6 submarines were added to the 29th submarine. Other bases of the flotilla were in Pola , Messina , Marseille and Salamis . In Salamis, the last remaining boats U 565 and U 596 of the flotilla were scrapped.
