Thruxton Circuit

The 1970 Thruxton 60-Mile Race , also known as the Yellow Pages Sports Car Race, Thruxton , took place on September 20 at the Thruxton Circuit and was the fifth race of the Interseries of that year.

The race

In contrast to the Interseries races in West Germany , which had great popularity with viewers from the start of the series, the races in England were nowhere near as well attended. The number of starters also lagged behind those in West Germany. 16 vehicles were registered in Thruxton, twelve of which were scored. With his overall victory in the Porsche 917K , Jürgen Neuhaus further extended his lead in the championship. He won ahead of Chris Craft in the Lola T210 and Helmut Marko in the Porsche 908/02 .
