Aaron Brian Doran Cogan (born May 13, 1991 in Charleville ) is an Irish football player. He is under contract as a winger for the Scottish club Inverness Caledonian Thistle . He previously played for the Blackburn Rovers . The Blackburn Rovers awarded it to Milton Keynes Dons and Leyton Orient . He also played in the Republic of Ireland's U-21 team .

Career

Blackburn Rovers

He signed his first professional contract in May 2008 with Blackburn Rovers . In the friendly against Macclesfield Town and NAC Breda for the 2008/09 season he was considered by manager Paul Ince . He made his Premier League debut on April 11, 2009 against Liverpool . He was substituted on for Aaron Mokoena .

In October 2009 he was loaned out by League One club Milton Keynes Dons for a month. On his debut for MK Dons, he scored his first professional goal in the Football League Trophy against Southend United . In February 2010 it was awarded to Leyton Orient for a month .

Blackburn manager Sam Allardyce stated in October 2010 that he felt like Doran hadn't moved on, even though he turned out to be a great prospect. It was only with Steve Kean, who succeeded Sam Allardyce as manager, that he had another chance to play as a substitute.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle

On January 25, 2011 Doran was loaned to Inverness Caledonian Thistle to Scotland for six months of the 2010/11 SPL season . Terry Butcher , the manager of Inverness, compared him to Nigel Callaghan , a former Watford player . This was a sign that Terry Butcher considered him a technically gifted player.

He made his debut in the loss to Aberdeen . In its first game on the grid, Inverness won 5-1. came against Morton and reached the quarter-finals of the Scottish Cup. Doran scored his first goal for Inverness in a 3-3 draw against St. Mirren .

On July 13, 2011 it was announced that Inverness Caledonian Thistle had signed Aaron Doran. In the opening game of the 2011/12 season against Hibernian , he played his first game as a contract player. Doran suffered a shoulder injury during a game against Kilmarnock. He was out for three months and injured again on December 28, 2011.

2012/13 season

In the 2012/13 season Doran was able to contribute an "assist" for Nick Ross in the opening game in the 2-2 draw against St. Mirren . Two months later, on October 5, 2012, he scored his first goal of the season in a 3-1 win over Ross County . In the 4-1 win against Dundee, he contributed two "assists". After beating Aberdeen 3-0 in the quarter-finals of the League Cup, he was highly praised by manager Terry Butcher . After a good November with wins against Kilmarnock , Celtic and Aberdeen , Doran was honored as SPL Young Player of the month together with Butcher and McKay.

2013/14 season

The 2013-14 season got off to a promising start for Doran. He scored one goal and set up another for the 3-0 win over St. Mirren . A few weeks later he scored a goal in the 2-2 draw against Celtic . Doran continued his good form this season. In the final of the Scottish League Cup he was substituted on for James Vincent in the 63rd minute . After a knee injury he was on April 4, he was again involved in the 2-1 win against Ross County.

2014/15 season

The 2014-15 season started well for Doran as the club scored 13 points in their first six games. Of those first six games, Doran scored his first goal of the season for Inverness CT in a 2-0 win over Motherwell . On January 1, 2015, Doran prepared two goals for Billy McKay in the Highland derby in the 3-1 win over Ross County and scored one goal himself. After suffering a groin injury, he returned on February 28, 2015 in a 2-1 loss to Motherwell . He prepares a goal in the Scottish Cup final. With his help, Inverness CT achieved the first title in the Scottish FA Cup.

In the following two seasons, 2015/16 and 2016/17, he was sidelined due to a knee injury and knee operation.
