James Keatings (born January 20, 1992 in Glasgow ) is a Scottish football player who plays for Inverness Caledonian Thistle .
Club career
James Keatings played at Celtic Glasgow in his youth and was trained at the Celtic Youth Academy . While he played for the club's U-19s in the league, from November 2010 he regularly took part in the training of the professional team. In June 2011, Keatings signed his first professional contract with the Bhoys . After a serious injury suffered by the young professional, he was awarded to FC St. Johnstone in January 2012 until the end of the season. In the summer break of 2012, Keatings was awarded again, this time to the Hamilton Academical, 20 km southeast of Glasgow . A year later, Keatings was firmly committed to this. After the 2013/14 season in which he scored 13 goals in 30 league games, he moved to Heart of Midlothian . After another successful season in which he continued to be very accurate and had achieved promotion to the Scottish Premiership , Keatings moved to city rivals Hibernian Edinburgh .
National team
In February 2008, Keatings made his debut for the U-16 national team of Scotland against Wales. In his second game for this age group he scored two goals against Northern Ireland, as well as two more in the last game he played in the U-16s. A few months later he made his debut in the U-17 where he scored 1 goal in 6 games by the end of the year. From 2009 to 2010 he was part of the Scottish U-19, for which he was able to score a hat trick in the game against Liechtenstein.
