Aaron Nusbaum (born January 13, 1993 in Toronto ) is a Canadian beach volleyball player .

Career

Nusbaum played during his training at the Dr. GW Williams Secondary School in Aurora and Queen's University (Kingston) in Kingston Indoor volleyball . But he also started playing in the sand at an early age and became the national U14 and U16 champion in this discipline.

In 2010 Nusbaum reached ninth place with Grant O'Gorman at the U19 World Cup in Porto . In 2011 the duo won the bronze medal at the U19 World Cup in Umag . At the Québec Open of the FIVB World Tour , Nusbaum and Sam Pedlow couldn't go beyond the "Country Quota". In 2012, Nusbaum / O'Gorman finished ninth at the U21 World Cup in Halifax . At the U21 World Cup 2013 in Umag, they only had to admit defeat to the Brazilians Guto / Allison in the final. In 2014, however, he retired early with Dallas Keith at the U23 World Cup in Mysłowice . In 2015 Nusbaum competed in three tournaments in the NORCECA series with Michael Plantinga . He was fifth in North Bay , sixth in Varadero and ninth in Tavares .

In 2016 he formed a new duo with Ryan Vandenburg . On the NORCECA tour, Nusbaum / Vandenburg came fourth on Grand Cayman and fifth in Punta Cana . In 2017, they finished seventh and fourth at the continental tournaments in La Paz and Grand Cayman. In Ocho Rios , Nusbaum played with Josh Binstock and finished third. Nusbaum / Vandenburg qualified for the World Championship in Vienna via the NORCECA elimination .
