Abasár is a municipality in Heves County in Northern Hungary , 7 km east of Gyöngyös .
location
The place is located at the southern foot of the Mátra Mountains in the Mátraalja wine-growing region .
history
The place was first mentioned as Saár in a document from 1261. From 1901 the place was called Abasár. 1950 Pálosvörösmart was incorporated. In 2009 the two communities became independent again.
