The Abeille Bourbon is an approximately 80 meter long sea ​​rescue tug of the type UT 515. The ship, built in 2005 and christened by Bernadette Chirac, is stationed as an emergency tug in Brest .

The ship has an output of 16,000 kW. The bollard pull is 200 t. At a wind speed of over 25 kn (46.30 km / h) the Abeille Bourbon leaves the port and patrols off the coast of Brittany in order to be able to intervene quickly in an emergency.
