Adaklı ( Kurdish Azarpêrt , from Armenian Asdğapert / Asdğagpert - "Star Fortress ") is a city and its district ( Ilçe ) in the eastern Turkish province of Bingöl .
The village was inhabited by Armenians until the beginning of the 20th century . At the end of the 19th century, half of the 300 houses in the village were Armenian.
The district was founded on July 4, 1987 and is located north of the central district ( Merkez ). It includes the former Bucak Adaklı and belonged to the Kiğı district until it became independent. It has no external borders with neighboring provinces. Adaklı is on average 1500 m above sea level. In 1839 the area around Adaklı still belonged to the province of Erzurum and was attached to the province of Erzincan in 1926 . Adaklı came to Bingöl Province in 1936 and was part of Kiğı County until 1987 .
The district town of Adaklı is home to around 38 percent of the district's population. The rest is spread over the 32 villages ( Köy ), which are inhabited by an average of 180 inhabitants. Karaçubuk with 629 inhabitants is the largest village.
