Yedisu ( Turkish for Siebenwasser ; formerly: Çerme ) is a city and a district in the north of the province of Bingöl in Turkey .

Yedisu County was established on May 20, 1990 and includes the former Bucak Yedisu. He belonged to the Kiğı County until his independence. The mountainous district is the second smallest in the province and borders in the north with the province of Erzincan (district Tercan ), in the east with the province Erzurum (district Çat ) and in the west with the province Tunceli (district Pülümür ). The southern border is formed by the districts of Kiğı , Adaklı and Karlıova . The district is mostly populated by Kurds .

Mountains of the region are Çavuşlu Dağı in the east, Şeytan Dağı (2,906 m) in the south, Bağır Dağı (3,173 m) in the west, Koşan Dağı (3,078 m) in the north.

Almost half (48.5%) of the district population lives in the district capital. The remainder of the population lives in 13 villages ( Köy ), an average of 114 people per village. The largest village is Elmalı with 290 inhabitants.

The village of Çerme was part of Kiğı until 1951 . In 1970 a well with seven taps was built in Çerme, after which the place was renamed Yedisu (Eng .: Siebenwasser). Yedisu County was not established by law until May 20, 1990.
