Adam Bab

Adam Piotr Bab (born December 30, 1974 in Lublin ) is a Polish clergyman and Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in Lublin .

Life

Adam Bab studied philosophy and catholic theology at the seminary in Lublin. He received on 22 May 1999, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

After his ordination Adam Bab worked as a parish vicar in the parish Immaculate Conception in Lublin. In 2000 he continued his studies at the Catholic University of Lublin , where he received his doctorate in pastoral theology in 2005 . Then Bab became rector of the Holy Spirit Church in Kraśnik . From 2010 to 2014 he was pastor in Końskowola , before becoming pastor of the parish of St. Joseph in Lublin, director of the diocesan office for youth pastoral care and advisor to the national office for youth pastoral care at the Polish Bishops' Conferencehas been. Adam Bab has also been a member of the Priestly Council of the Archdiocese of Lublin since 2011 and a member of the college of consultors since 2017 . He is also an honorary canon at the St. John's Cathedral in Lublin.

On 22 May 2020 Pope appointed him Francis to the titular of Arna and auxiliary bishop in Lublin. The Archbishop of Lublin, Stanisław Budzik , donated him episcopal ordination on June 29th of the same year in St. John's Cathedral ; Co- consecrators were the Apostolic Nuncio in Poland, Archbishop Salvatore Pennacchio , and the Auxiliary Bishop in Lublin, Mieczysław Cisło .
