Life
Adam Carolla grew up in North Hollywood , where he attended Colfax Elementary School, and later Walter Reed Middle School. He graduated from North Hollywood High School , but received it years later due to a library sentence. For fun, he entered "Lakers" as his middle name when he applied for a driver's license. At the age of 18 he was already living in a shared apartment, during which time he briefly attended Los Angeles Valley College. In the early 1990s he met the comedian group "The Groundlings" while studying in an improvisation group . In his spare time he worked as a boxing trainer, including coaching comedian Jimmy Kimmel, who was challenged by KROQ in 1994 . This helped him get a job on "The Kevin & Bean Show" at KROQ.
