Adam Jahn (born January 5, 1991 in El Macero , Yolo County , California ) is an American football player who is mostly used as a striker . He is currently under contract with the San José Earthquakes .

Career

Youth and amateur football

Jahn played soccer at his high school in Carmichael . After high school, he went to Stanford University , where he scored 24 goals in four years and prepared twelve more for his college football team.

Professional career

Jahn was chosen as the 15th pick in the 2013 MLS Supplemental Draft by the San José Earthquakes on January 22, 2013 . He made his competitive debut on March 3, 2013, in the opening game of the season at Buck Shaw Stadium , when he came on in the 83rd minute for Ty Harden . In his second game, he scored for the first time for the Earthquakes.
