He was the son of Heinrich Hartmann Ignaz Donat Freiherr Heusslein von Eußenheim and Josephine Veronika Johanna von Münster . The Rittmeister Karl Anton Franz Donat Heusslein from Eußenheim and the Lieutenant Colonel Franz Anton Donat Heusslein from Eußenheim were his brothers.

Heusslein von Eußenheim was a grand ducal Tuscan chamberlain , later a prince-bishop of Würzburg, Real Privy Councilor and President of the Upper Council.

With the resignation of his brother Franz Anton on July 24, 1764, he became cathedral chapter of Würzburg. When he first visited the Redwitz manor , which belonged to his sister, in his capacity as cathedral chapter in 1789 , he was greeted with gunfire. Two pipers and a tambour made music, and together they emptied a barrel of beer.

Enrollment in the Freiherrn class in the Kingdom of Bavaria took place on March 29, 1816.

He was married to Theresia Philippina Freiin von Mauchenheim called Bechtolsheim (* March 10, 1786, † December 26, 1834).

The couple's tomb is still in the chapel cemetery in Bad Kissingen today .
