Adelshausen is a part of the community of Weil in the Upper Bavarian district of Landsberg am Lech .

geography

The hamlet is located three kilometers north of Weil on the state road 2027 and is traversed by the Lost Brook , as the upper reaches of the Friedberger Ach is called.

history

The prehistoric settlement of Pestenacker , which is only about 500 m away and dates back to the 4th millennium BC, suggests that the area was settled early .

Adelshausen was first mentioned in a document as Adelhusen in the 12th century , the place name can be derived from the old personal name Adolt and suggests that it was founded in the 6th century.

The hamlet has belonged to the Rottenbuch monastery since the 12th century , so two entire courtyards, an eighth courtyard and a chapel are named in 1552 and 1761 . All farms were landable for the Rottenbuch monastery.

After the secularization Adelhausen the course was community edicts of 1818 a part of village newly formed Beuerbach in district court Landsberg .

With this, the hamlet was incorporated into Weil as part of the regional reform in Bavaria on January 1, 1972.

Attractions

In Adelshausen there is the Catholic Chapel of St. Martin, built in 1677 , a single-nave saddle roof building with a slightly retracted polygonal choir with furnishings.
