In April 1945, a freight train with 500 concentration camp prisoners from the Dachau-Kaufering subcamp, guarded by SS guards , was stopped by the US Air Force .
On January 1, 1972, as part of the regional reform, the formerly independent municipality of Schwabhausen with its districts of Machelberg and Schwabhausen near Landberg, Weiler / Bahnhof was incorporated into the municipality of Weil. The train station is now structurally connected to Schwabhausen and is no longer a separate district.
