Petzenhausen is a part of the community of Weil in the Upper Bavarian district of Landsberg am Lech .

geography

The parish village of Petzenhausen is about a kilometer east of Weil, on the western edge of the village the Lost Bach , as the upper reaches of the Friedberger Ach is called, flows past.

history

The ending of the place name suggests a settlement in the 6th century, in 1270 Petzenhausen is listed in the Landsberger Urbar as part of the Bailiwick of the Wessobrunn Monastery .

In 1552 35 properties are mentioned in the parish village, the most important landlord was the Wessobrunn monastery with 22 properties. Likewise in 1761, the Wessobrunn monastery, 30 of the now 43 properties are landable.

After the secularization that was in the course community edicts of 1818 the community Petzenhausen in district court Landsberg reformed.

Due to the regional reform in Bavaria , Petzenhausen was finally incorporated into Weil on January 1, 1972.

Attractions

In Petzenhofen there is the Catholic parish church of St. Peter and Paul , as well as the Catholic branch church of Our Lady .
