Adolph Xaver Paur

Adolph Xaver Paur , also: Adolf Xaver Paur (born September 29, 1802 in Munich , † January 29, 1871 in Augsburg ) was a German politician and lawyer.

Life

Coming from a civil servant family, Paur studied law at the University of Würzburg and the University of Heidelberg from 1821 to 1824 . He completed his studies with a doctorate. In 1821 he became a member of the Old Germania Würzburg fraternity . In 1830 he started his own business as a lawyer and notary in Augsburg.

In the course of the March Revolution , Paur took part in the Frankfurt pre-parliament and then became a delegate in the Fifties Committee . From May 18, 1848 to May 30, 1849 he represented the 1st Swabian constituency (Augsburg) in the Frankfurt National Assembly . There he belonged first to the Württemberger Hof faction and later to the Augsburger Hof . Paur was a member of several committees of the Paulskirche parliament, in November and December 1848 he was sent as Reich Commissioner by the National Assembly to Vienna to investigate the circumstances of the execution of Robert Blum together with Joseph Pözl .

From 1850 to 1862 Paur was a member of the Chamber of Deputies of the Bavarian Estates Assembly , where he also served as second president for two periods. From 1857 to 1866 he was municipal representative in Augsburg.
